Hi, I’m Rebecca! I started Cat City Ceramics as a way to slow down and reconnect with the joy of making something with my own hands. My love for pottery goes back to my mom, Cindy, who inspired me at a young age to explore creativity and embrace the beauty of handmade things.

Before I got into ceramics, I worked in live events and entertainment in New York City. It was an amazing chapter of my life, but eventually, I traded the hustle for something a little quieter and more grounding.

I grew up in Richmond, Virginia but now live in Cathedral "Cat" City, California - right in the heart of the Coachella Valley. Thus the name - Cat City Ceramics.

The colors, textures, and calm of this place influence a lot of my work. When I’m not in the studio, you’ll probably find me hiking, checking out art, planning our next trip, or spending time with my favorite crew—my husband Jeff, our two daughters Mia and Cici, and our French bulldog Frank.

Through Cat City Ceramics, I focus on creating pieces that are simple, functional, and a little bit special—things that feel good to use and bring a little joy into the everyday.
